Benjamin Butz studied law at Freie Universität Berlin. Having completed his internship (inter alia at the Labour Court in Berlin), he was admitted to the bar in 2007 and as a labour law specialist in 2011. Since 2007, Benjamin Butz has been working exclusively as a labour law lawyer. He began his career as a lawyer in the international business law firm DLA Piper before he moved to Pusch Wahlig Legal and worked for seven years for the law firm in Berlin. Benjamin Butz advises companies and private clients on all aspects of individual and collective labour law. His focus is on advising his clients on restructuring and industrial constitution law and employment protection legislation. His activities include court work in employment protection lawsuits and disputes concerning industrial constitution law.
His clients include, in particular, insurance companies and companies from the healthcare industry. In addition, Benjamin Butz acts as the labour law consultant and advisor in the DUK and AUPU pension funds, comprising of more than 1,000 member companies, which are amongst the largest private pension funds financed by employees and employers.
