Prof. Michael Veddern studied law at Göttingen University and Münster University focusing on information law, media law and international private law. Prof. Veddern subsequently authored a guide to multimedia law for the Minister of Science of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and, for several years, acted as a consultant to the Intellectual Property Rights-Helpdesk of the European Commission. At the same time, Prof. Veddern worked as a research associate at the Landeskompetenzzentrum NRW for information, telecommunication and media law at Münster University, where he also obtained his doctorate.
Starting in 2006 Prof. Veddern worked as an attorney in our Hamburg office where he specialised in press law and freedom of expression as well as media contract law.
In 2009 Prof. Vedden left our firm to take up an academic post at Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart. We are delighted, however, that he continues to make his comprehensive know-how available to us as a consultant.
