Dr. Volker Perten LL.M. studied law at the University of Rostock with a focus on communication and media law, as well as media law at Mainz Medieninstitut e. V. During his practical training he dealt with issues of intellectual property protection. Subsequently, he was entrusted with questions on financial aspects of broadcasting regulations at the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability and received his doctorate from the Goethe University Frankfurt on the topic of broadcasting financing in Europe.
Since 2010, Dr. Perten has been an attorney in the law firm Prinz Neidhardt Engelschall, focussing on providing legal representation and media counsel to business enterprises. In 2018, together with Prof. Dr. Matthias Prinz LL.M. and Dr. Nina Lüssmann, he founded Prinz Lüssmann Perten Partnership Company MbB. Here, Dr. Perten is responsible for advising business enterprises and their stakeholders on issues relating to defamation law and the protection of reputation.
His clients include internationally active corporations as well as medium-sized companies, associations and interest groups from all sectors of the economy and society.
